We look forward to offering a fun, fair and flashy trial for both competitors and spectators alike. Obedience and Protection: We use a sturdy aluminum A-frame, a solid wood meter jump and Gappay IPO dumbbells. The blind search will begin to the right.

1050 W. Walnut St, Compton, CA 90220 (Grainger Building Field) – The Stadium portion of the trial will be held at our club field in Compton, CA. The address can be found on our Event Basics page. The field is centrally located between Los Angeles and Orange Counties and is roughly a 1-hour drive from the tracking fields. We use a sturdy aluminum A-frame, a solid wood meter jump and Gappay IPO dumbbells. The blind search direction will be determined.

Tracking will likely be dirt, but exact conditions are still TBD. The actual trial tracking location itself will not be revealed until the night before.

There will be a draw Friday night, after practice. It will be local to the trial field, but the exact location has not been determined yet.

“I started in Schutzhund in 1996 my first dog was a German Shepherd. In 1997 I helped form the Peace River Schutzhund club in Punta Gorda , Florida. I have been actively involved in Schutzhund (IPO) showing German Shepherds,Rottweiler’s and Malinois. Since 2000 I have showed at local, regional, national and world levels. I truly enjoy the sport and really wanted to help share my enthusiasm and knowledge . Growing the sport was an intricate force driving me into the DVG apprentice program to became a judge. I went through the program and became a judge in 2011. Currently I work a Belgian Malinois , I achieved his IPO3 in April for my third handler owned, trained and bred Malinois. I look forward to a great weekend of good dogs and sportsmanship. Yours in the sport,” Melissa Hepler DVG judge.
